Top Passwords Revealed

Written by: Colleen Frye

There are typically 2 types of people when it comes to passwords, don’t you think? There are those who make their passwords easy and those who make them extremely complicated to where they can’t even remember them…. Which one are you?

As a small business owner, you have a lot to organize and manage & that includes passwords.  With hackers being more and more advanced these days, it’s important for you to protect the accounts that you keep track of and that starts with making it harder for them to get to!

If you’re a business owner with really easy passwords, it may be time to start thinking about the best practices for passwords.  When selecting a password, it’s important not to use just one password for all accounts, such as using one for your email and then the same for your online banking.  Make sure that your password combination includes 12 letters, numbers and even uppercase and lowercase letters to ensure your accounts are safe!

According to SplashData, there are 25 passwords of 2015 that were the worst AND most common!  If you have any of these passwords on the list, make sure to update them!
