How to Optimize an Auto Shop on Google

Written by: Jenn Johnson

We found a really interesting article the other day on one of our favorite SEO sites, Moz. The article talked about how to optimize a car dealership for the best chance of ranking locally. Now, we understand that you may not be selling cars BUT a lot of the elements in the article are relatable to the tire dealer and auto service business.

It’s always a good thing to read articles such as these to make sure that all bases are covered with local listing optimizations. We’re happy to inform you that if you are a client of Upright Tire then you have nothing to worry about. The article confirmed that we are one track with local optimization.

Below are a few points the article outlined:

  • Make sure business information such as name, phone number and address are all accurate across channels such as the website, social media, and local listings such as Google.
  • Make sure the listing categories are accurate such as tire dealer, auto shop, and auto service center. More than likely these category words are also used in your keyword strategy.
  • Google likes to use images on the listing to help show customers what the business looks like in terms of outside and inside the establishment. Google My Business listing data even reports are how often the images are viewed. Users and business owners can upload to the listing.
  • Reviews have been an topic that has been mentioned a lot. That is because reviews are really important and weigh heavily in terms of ranking on Google. Google doesn’t just take their reviews in to account but they also take Facebook, Yelp, and other review sites in to consideration.

Upright Tire can help your auto shop rank locally on Google, which will increase your business profits. Reach out to us for a 15-minute phone call to see how we can help you.
